Not as good as Mom's cooking, I imagine, but a good second-best.

That Fesenjan sounds like an interesting combination.

We used to go to Pita Inn on Dempster in Skokie.

I love Pita Inn. It's very affordable and the food is good.

Did you receive a "care package"? I guess these foods are available in Chicago now. They weren't easy to find when I lived there. But we had a favorite Persian restaurant on the north side. I don't suppose it's of any help that I can't remember where it was or what it was called.
