"whatever-you-have-in-the-fridge" soup

Outside: -13C feels like -23C (unbelievable, ha?)
Inside: Watching Obama's inauguration and making the "whatever-you-have-in-the-fridge" soup.
Calendar: MLK Day. I love his character because of his bravery, faith, and confidence. A good example for many nations who haven't yet achieved their civil rights.

"The best shoe shine in all D.C."

He was stylishly shining people's shoes that his own classic white pair attracted my attention. His name was Uron Brown. He wanted me to label his photo as "The best shoe shine in all D.C."— at Washington Hilton.

Half Frozen, Half Home-made

I bought 4 frozen veggie pizzas for $10. I have added my favorite meat ingredients and spices on it and made it a half-frozen, half home-made enriched pizza. Still not very healthy though with 1,250 calories for the whole pizza. "Rethink your food!"

Grosse Point Lighthouse of Evanston

"Grosse Point Lighthouse was built by the United States Government in 1873 as the lead lighthouse marking the approach to Chicago after several shipwrecks demonstrated its need. The promontory on which it stands was named Grosse Point (Great Point) by early French explorers and traders in the 17th century. Over the years, the U.S. Government dropped the French "e" on Point." - Grosse Point Lighthouse Website
