Noon O Kabab: Authentic Persian Food in Chicago

Noon o Kabab is my favorite Persian restaurant in Chicago. This is a picture of "Tah Dig" with "Gheimeh" stew on top. Tah Dig, which means bottom of the rice pot, is a crispy layer of saffron flavored and colored rice (mixture of rice, yogurt, egg, and saffron). And Gheimeh is a stew mainly made of meat (beef or lamb), yellow split peas, and dried lemon.

I remember eating excellent Persian food in Chicago, on the far north side. I don't know if it was this place or not. But like Dina, I'm glad you're eating well. Happy holidays!
