Interesting Wikipedia quote. I've never heard of this custome (and I'm a member of 3 unions!) Do you think this rat has anything to do with a labor relations problem? Were there any signs nearby?

I used to go to Ardmore beach to swim. I'm glad that rat was not there back then.
